Which Holiday Is More Important? Christmas Or Easter?

I know, that sounds like a loaded question and it is. But let me ask you again. Which holiday is more important? Christmas or Easter?

Obviously Christmas is very important because it is through the birth of Christ that we have received the greatest gift of all. God's only Son. Introduced by the Old Testament prophets. Born of a virgin. Announced by the angels. Sought after by the wise men from the east.

But what if we only had Christmas but no Easter? Jesus would still be the Son of God. He would still be able to perform miracles and teach the Word of God like no other man. But if there was no Easter, then how would God provide His plan of salvation? Paul said "if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." (1 Corinthians 15:17–20)

Yes, Christmas is very important but by itself, it is not complete. We need the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We need Christmas AND Easter.
