[Matthew 5:7 NASB95] 7 "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”

Mercy is a beautiful thing. To be merciful is to be compassionate. To be compassionate is to see someone hurting and experience the pain and suffering as if you were going through it. We should help carry the burdens of others. The Scripture’s say, “Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.” [Gal 6:2]

GOD doesn’t leave us on our own and we shouldn’t leave others on their own. Does your character resemble the GOD you serve?

Our Father in heaven, the Creator of the world, GOD Most High, is a merciful and compassionate GOD! "….But You are a God of forgiveness, Gracious and compassionate (merciful), Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness; And You did not forsake them.” [Neh 9:17]

The greatest thing that GOD did for us was send the Savior of the world, JESUS CHRIST, into the very world He created to reconcile (restore) us back to Himself. Sin separated us from a perfect relationship with the Father. We had no way to get back to Him. All of our wrongs had to be made right. A just GOD demands justice. And justice demands punishment. But instead of punishing the ones that committed the crime, GOD took our place. He came in the form of a human being, lived a perfect life and by His sacrifice of Himself on the cross has satisfied the wrath of GOD for the sins of all believers. Oh, how deep the Father’s love for us! His mercy and compassion are inexhaustible!

Believer, GOD has been merciful to us, let us be merciful to others.
